- Safety Relays:
- PNOZ Series: Originated from a product developed by Pilz in 1987 to protect both personnel and machines. Besides the traditional emergency – stop function, it can monitor various safety functions, such as safety doors, light curtains, two – hand controls, safety mats, and muting functions.
- PNOZsigma: It is a compact – type safety relay, featuring a smaller size, more powerful functions, more flexible configuration, and convenient diagnosis. It can monitor safety functions like emergency – stop buttons, safety doors, light curtains, and two – hand controls.
- PNOZmulti: It is a multi – functional and freely configurable modular safety system. Different from other PNOZ safety relays, its safety circuit can be easily generated on a PC using a graphic configuration tool. The basic unit can support up to 14 different safety functions, and it can be expanded with input – output modules and communication modules.
- PNOZelog: This series of products is based on electronic technology, with a compact design. It combines the advantages of traditional electromechanical PNOZ safety relays and modern electronic technology, featuring wear – resistance, safety, long service life, and high usability. It can be connected through logical AND/OR operations, and one of its advantages is the reduction of wiring.
- PNOZpower: It is a modular safety system suitable for monitoring emergency stops, safety doors, and light curtains. It can switch a current of up to 16A AC/DC at each contact, and each module has an overall switching capacity of 40A, eliminating the need for external contactors and contactor combinations in most cases.
- Controllers and I/O Systems:
- PSS 4000 Automation System: It is a programmable safety control system, which can handle safety and automation functions, and can be used as an independent controller or part of a network. With a modular system structure, it has high flexibility, and the rich module options can meet various user needs.
- PSSuniversal Distributed I/O System: Launched in 2005, it is a peripheral expansion solution that can be connected to various high – level controllers. Safety – related functions and automation functions are processed distributively at the field level. Thanks to block – switching, when a danger occurs, only the relevant part of the plant is shut down, and other parts can continue to operate.
- Drive Technology: Pilz’s PMC drive technology has a safety level of up to PL e specified in EN ISO 13849 – 1. It has various bus systems, feedback systems, and functions, with high flexibility. It is programmed according to EN/IEC 61131 – 3, which is convenient for quick commissioning and simplifies maintenance. The efficient servo technology can bring significant energy – saving effects.
- Operator Terminals: The PMI operator terminals are advanced HMIs (Human – Machine Interfaces) for visualization and control. They can communicate with controllers through common field – bus protocols, which can shorten the downtime and improve the cost – effectiveness of the system. There are various display sizes and characteristic options, providing a wide range of application choices.
- Safety Sensors: Pilz offers a variety of safety sensors, including safety switches, safety gate solutions, optical sensors for area and zone monitoring, and even safe radar and camera systems, which can meet different safety monitoring needs.
